RIDGE
RESIDENTIAL INTEGRATED DYNAMIC GEOMORPHIC EDGES
Situated in the Rio Grande Rift Valley, RIDGELINE is an architectural study in plate tectonics. The residence rejects the traditionally New Mexican "adobe" vernacular of mass and weight, opting instead for a language of friction and uplift. The structure is conceived not as a building placed upon the ground, but as a series of geological masses that have collided, fractured, and thrust upward to create a habitable void.
